Family Practice - Pediatric Subspecialities

In their third year, residents train on our highly specialized ambulatory pediatric rotation while staying call-free for the month. They see pediatric patients with specialist attendings at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- New Jersey Medical School child cardiac, pulmonary, nephrology, and developmental clinics. These specialized clinics increase the residents' exposure to complex pediatric diseases, and improve their skills in assessing, diagnosing and co-managing these conditions. This training also helps residents assess and care for their pediatric patients in the family practice center.
